Kanna Mouth Spray (High Mesembrenone) [Melt] is our miniature sublingual kanna spray, a 5ml pocket bottle of high-mesembrenone Sceletium tortuosum extract in saline with a little mannitol and citric acid, built for the calm, body-focused side of the plant. Where our RAVE sprays are made from a mesembrine-forward extract, MELT is built on our V3 extract, the one we reserve for mesembrenone sprays, so it reads warmer and softer. The herb. Kanna, Sceletium tortuosum, is a small succulent in the Aizoaceae family that grows in the arid Karoo of South Africa. The San and Khoikhoi peoples have chewed it and fermented it for generations, and they named it after the eland antelope. Four alkaloids define the plant: mesembrine, mesembrenone, delta-7-mesembrenone and mesembranol. Different plants, harvests and curing methods shift the balance between them, and modern extraction lets us steer that balance on purpose.

Active content. MELT uses our V3 extract, standardized to concentrate a high mesembrenone level. Mesembrenone, together with delta-7-mesembrenone, is the calmer, body-focused alkaloid pair in kanna, while mesembrine is the brighter, more uplifting one, so a mesembrenone-led spray reads melty and grounded rather than sharp. Per spray and per bottle:

Double Strength: ~10mg per spray, 500mg total per bottle
Triple Strength: ~20mg per spray, 750mg total per bottle

Dosage, first time. Shake the bottle well, then administer one spray under the tongue and hold it there for a few moments before swallowing. One spray of Regular Strength is the right first serving for anyone new to kanna or to this spray. Allow 1-2 hours before considering additional sprays.

One or two sprays is the serving, and experienced users pick the strength rather than stacking sprays: Double for a fuller effect from the same one or two sprays, Triple when they know their response well, and Quadruple only for seasoned kanna users. Keep to the 1-2 hour spacing, and resist the urge to top up before that window closes, since a mesembrenone-led kanna tends to build quietly rather than announce itself.

What to expect. Users describe MELT as a soft, melty, relaxed calm that settles into the shoulders and jaw, with mental clarity intact but the urgency drained out of the day. It suits an evening wind-down, a long flight, a slow Sunday or any time you want to unwind without becoming dull. It is not an energizing or party format. Side effects. Kanna's side effects are dose-related, and with a Quadruple Strength spray a single extra pump is a meaningful jump. Too much can bring mild nausea, a headache, an unexpected jitteriness or a flattened appetite. These pass as the kanna clears. Reduce to one spray or step down a strength if you notice them, and stop use if discomfort continues.

Interactions and cautions.

Do not combine with SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs or other serotonergic medications, including triptans, tramadol and St. John's Wort, because of the risk of serotonin syndrome
