Matcha Resin Extract
Matcha Resin Extract A concentrated resin made from premium green tea leaves, delivering a potent dose of L-theanine and polyphenols in a form far denser than a bowl of matcha. Where traditional matcha is for daily sipping, this resin is for intense, rapid delivery of the compounds behind calm alertness, and the extraction preserves the vibrant antioxidant profile of the leaf. Offered in 1g, 3g and 5g.

The herb. Matcha is shade-grown green tea, Camellia sinensis, of the Theaceae family, cultivated in Japan for over eight hundred years since Zen monks carried the practice from China. Shading the bushes before harvest pushes the leaf to make more chlorophyll and L-theanine, and the leaves are then steamed, dried and stone-ground into the powder used in the tea ceremony.
Active content. The resin concentrates L-theanine, the amino acid that gives matcha its smooth, rounded feel; catechin polyphenols, especially EGCG, which make up the antioxidant profile; and the leaf's own natural caffeine, which a green tea concentrate necessarily carries. The theanine is why users describe the lift as calm and clear-headed rather than edgy, but it is a caffeinated product.
Dosage, first time. Start with a rice-grain portion dissolved in hot water or stirred into a latte, in the morning. Onset is within about twenty to thirty minutes. Wait a couple of hours before adding more, and count it toward your daily caffeine.
Regular use. People who know their response keep a fixed morning or midday portion and avoid it late in the day. It is a concentrate, so a little more is a lot more.
What to expect. Users describe a steady, focused, present alertness with a settled body, suited to long study, deep work and creative sessions. It is not a jittery energy product and not a wind-down herb. For the ceremonial powder itself, see our Ceremonial Grade Matcha Tea.
Side effects. Because it carries caffeine, larger portions can bring restlessness, a racing heart, an upset stomach on an empty stomach or trouble settling at night. Reduce the portion, take it with food and keep it to earlier in the day; stop if discomfort continues.

Common questions
- Does Matcha Resin Extract contain caffeine? Yes, it is a green tea concentrate, so it carries the leaf's natural caffeine along with L-theanine.
- How much matcha resin equals a cup of matcha? A rice-grain portion is a sensible starting point; the resin is far denser than powder, so start small.
- How do I dissolve matcha resin? Stir it into hot water or warm milk and it melts in within a minute.
