Healing Herbals has been partnered with a farm operation based in South Africa for over five years, with a shared focus on the sustainable production of high-quality Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum).
Through the selective harvest of stems and leaves, the plant’s root system remains intact and can regenerate itself for another sustainable harvest the following season.
Our Kanna is routinely tested for quality and lab reports are available upon request.

About our grow
Healing Herbals Farm is mainly focused on growing kanna, though we now cultivate several of our favorite botanicals, including wild dagga. Growing kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) is no easy task — like all farms, genetics are a major focus for us. We run a series of botanical trials to isolate desirable traits, similar to breeding peppers or cannabis. Kanna can express itself in many natural forms, which helps us create new extracts best suited to our community's needs.
The best kanna extracts start with tea material that exceeds 3% natural alkaloids by weight, a standard that makes our extraction process more efficient and consistent. While kanna is not technically classified as an endangered species, it is protected, as wild populations are becoming harder to find. For this reason, we believe it's essential to keep growing more, breeding thousands of plants from seed to discover new varieties and meet the rising demand for kanna.
