Meet Robbie, our owner and founder. He is a hard-working plant enthusiast with over ten years of industry experience who enjoys creating tinctures, extracts, aromatherapy devices, and other exotic botanical infusions. His favorite herbs to work with are Kava, Kanna, Lotus, and Amanita.
Robbie, along with his team, is committed to sharing these unique herbs and more with the world. Our focus is on providing healthy alternatives to alcohol and natural options for the body and mind.
What began as sharing samples at an event in 2021 grew into Healing Herbals, driven by incredible feedback and a passion for botanicals. Our mission is to share the power of botanicals and improve the wellbeing of our supporters.

Robbie with our team in South Africa! The team is passionate about breeding, growing, and harvesting Kanna plants (Sceletium tortuosum). Kanna cultivation is a skill that grows with you. We are beyond grateful for our friends and their individual contributions.
Our Farm Info:
Healing Herbals has been partnered with a farm operation based in South Africa for over five years, with a shared focus on the sustainable production of high-quality Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum).
Through the selective harvest of stems and leaves, the plant’s root system remains intact and can regenerate itself for another sustainable harvest the following season.
Our Kanna is routinely tested for quality and lab reports are available upon request.
Are dried amanita caps already decarboxylated?
Partly, but usually not fully. Drying converts some ibotenic acid into muscimol, especially with gentle heat over several days, but a good share of the ibotenic acid is still there in a standard dried cap.
That is why traditional and modern users often prepare caps further. Simmering them in water with a little lemon juice or citric acid for a couple of hours, or baking them low and slow, pushes the conversion much closer to complete. Some people also ferment caps for the same reason.
If you would rather skip the kitchen work, extracts and isolates are the shortcut. A properly made 15:1 extract or a muscimol isolate has already been through that step, which is why they are tested for muscimol content rather than just weight.
