Kanna tincture and mouth spray guide
Liquids are the easy-dosing branch of our kanna range. A tincture gives you a dropper you can count, a mouth spray gives you a metered pump, and both skip the scale that powders need. The core of the shelf is the alcohol-free 2 oz tincture, its alcohol-based twin, the 10 ml high potency dropper for travel, and two sprays: RAVE, high mesembrine for the bright side of kanna and MELT, high mesembrenone for the calm side. Blends with blue lotus and blue lotus plus kava round it out. Nasal sprays have their own page under kanna nasal sprays.
At a glance
- Dropper or metered spray, no scale needed
- Alcohol-free (vegetable glycerin) and alcohol-based options
- RAVE spray leans mesembrine (uplifting), MELT spray leans mesembrenone (calming)
- Made from our own farm-grown, standardized kanna extract
Alcohol-free or alcohol-based. Glycerin tinctures taste sweet, suit anyone avoiding alcohol and are gentle under the tongue. Alcohol-based tinctures pull a slightly fuller alkaloid profile and absorb a touch faster, with a sharper taste. Both deliver the same plant; pick by preference.
How to choose.
- Daily, easygoing use: Kanna Tincture Alcohol Free 2 oz.
- Something for your pocket: the 10 ml high potency dropper or either mouth spray.
- Social and bright: RAVE mouth spray. Winding down: MELT mouth spray.
- Kanna plus lotus in one bottle: Kanna and Blue Lotus Tincture.
How to use. Hold the drops or spray under the tongue for 30 to 60 seconds before swallowing; sublingual absorption is faster and more efficient than swallowing straight away. Start with the low end of the serving on the product page and wait an hour before adding more.
What to expect. Sublingual kanna comes on in 15 to 30 minutes and lasts two to four hours. The mesembrine-forward products are described as lifted and talkative, the mesembrenone-forward ones as soft and settled.
Cautions.
- Do not combine kanna with SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs, triptans, tramadol or St. John's Wort
- Avoid alcohol while using kanna
- Not for use if pregnant, nursing, or with a heart condition
- Adults 21 and over only; keep out of reach of children
Common questions
- How many drops is a serving? Follow the serving printed on each product page; a full dropper is the usual unit for the 2 oz bottles.
- Do tinctures need refrigeration? No. Keep them capped, upright and out of direct sun.
- Which is stronger, the spray or the tincture? The sprays are more concentrated per pump, the tinctures give you finer control per drop. Neither is stronger in total; the serving sizes are set to match.
