Blue Lotus x Amanita Muscaria Extract Resin

Product Description: A concentrated resin blend combining Nymphaea caerulea (Blue Lotus) flower extract with decarboxylated Amanita muscaria mushroom extract, offering a unique botanical resin for research, aromatherapy, and collector use.

This blend is produced through a specialized extraction process that preserves the natural compound profile of both botanicals, including naturally occurring alkaloids found in Blue Lotus (aporphine, nuciferine) and the compound muscimol found in Amanita muscaria.

Not for human consumption. This product is sold for research, aromatherapy, and botanical study purposes only. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and this product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or illness.

At a glance

  • Concentrated resin blending two botanicals in one material
  • Nymphaea caerulea flower extract, carrying aporphine and nuciferine
  • Decarboxylated Amanita muscaria extract, carrying muscimol
  • Specialized extraction that preserves both natural compound profiles
  • Not for human consumption. Research, aromatherapy and collector use only
  • Adults 21 and over

The two botanicals.

  • Blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea): a Nile water lily, sacred in ancient Egypt, characterised by aporphine-type alkaloids including nuciferine.
  • Fly agaric (Amanita muscaria): the red and white mushroom of Siberian ethnomycology, characterised by the isoxazole compounds muscimol and ibotenic acid.

They come from entirely separate kingdoms and entirely separate chemistries, which is what makes the combination unusual as a reference material rather than simply a stronger version of either.

What decarboxylated means. In Amanita muscaria, ibotenic acid is the precursor and muscimol is what it converts into. Decarboxylation is the step that drives that conversion, and running it deliberately during extraction rather than leaving it to slow ambient ageing is what produces a muscimol-forward extract with a consistent profile. Undecarboxylated material sits further back toward ibotenic acid and varies with how long it has sat.

Handling a resin. Warm it slightly before working with it, since cold resin tears rather than cutting. A dab tool, a toothpick or a warmed blade works better than a spoon. It will soften in a warm room and firm up in the fridge, and both states are normal.

Storage. Sealed, cool and dark, out of direct sunlight. Resin is less moisture-sensitive than a powder but light is what degrades it over months.

The separate components. Blue lotus on its own is the Blue Lotus Resin and the 100:1 extract powder. Amanita on its own is the 15:1 high muscimol extract and the partially decarboxylated extract. See also the Amanita Muscaria Product Collection and the Blue Lotus Collection.

Common questions

  • Why blend a flower and a mushroom? Two unrelated compound families in one reference material, which is why it is sold as a collector and study item rather than as a version of either plant.
  • What does decarboxylated mean here? The step that converts ibotenic acid toward muscimol, run deliberately during extraction rather than left to ambient ageing.
  • Why is it not for human consumption? Amanita muscaria has no approved food or supplement status in the United States, so anything containing it is sold for research, aromatherapy and botanical study only.
  • My resin went soft, is that a problem? No. Resin softens in warmth and firms in cold. It is the same material either way.
  • Can I buy the two parts separately? Yes, both the blue lotus resin and the amanita extract are sold on their own.

Disclaimer. Not for human consumption. This product is sold for research, aromatherapy, and botanical study purposes only.
