Kanna x Blue Lotus Extract & Terp infused Prerolls

Kanna x Blue Lotus Extract & Terp infused Prerolls are tobacco-free herbal prerolls infused with kanna extract (Sceletium tortuosum) and blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) extract, then terped up with a natural strawberry botanical flavor and cone filled in Raw rolling papers. They are the smokable end of our kanna range. We worked hard to develop this as a very effective product for those with a naturally high tolerance, and the two plants are chosen to complement each other: kanna for the lift, blue lotus for the softness. Each batch is made in small runs by Healing Herbals, and our kanna is grown through benefit-sharing partnerships with the South African San Council. Offered as a 1 Pack, a 2 Pack or a 5 Pack.

The herb. Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) is a low-growing succulent in the Aizoaceae family from the Karoo region of South Africa. The San and Khoikhoi peoples chewed and fermented it for generations, and the name kanna comes from their word for the eland antelope. The plant carries a small family of alkaloids, mesembrine, mesembrenone, delta-7-mesembrenone and mesembranol, and the balance between them shapes each extract's character. Blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) is a water lily native to the Nile, the sacred flower of ancient Egypt, steeped in wine at ceremonies, and its petals carry the alkaloids nuciferine and aporphine. One brightens, the other rounds.

Active content. The label does not print an alkaloid percentage or a milligram load per preroll, and we do not invent numbers, so think of these as a high-tolerance format rather than a measured dose. What you are drawing on layers two plants:

• Kanna: mesembrine, the brighter, more uplifting alkaloid, alongside mesembrenone and delta-7-mesembrenone, the calmer, more body-focused ones
• Blue lotus: nuciferine and aporphine, which bring a soft, melty, relaxed quality
• Strawberry terps: flavor and aroma only

Because inhaled alkaloids reach the bloodstream through the lungs rather than digestion, the onset is far faster than any oral kanna.

Dosage, first time. Take one or two slow draws, set the preroll down and wait. Onset is usually within minutes and builds over the next quarter hour. Do not finish a whole preroll on your first session, even with a high tolerance to oral kanna; it is far easier to add a draw than to undo one. Wait at least fifteen to twenty minutes before deciding on more, and expect a slightly bitter, floral smoke behind the strawberry.

Regular use. This product was built for experienced users with a naturally high tolerance, who typically share a preroll or smoke one across a session, relighting as they go rather than chaining several. Keep the amount where it works for you; more does not make it brighter, only foggier and harder on the throat. How kanna lands depends on tolerance, food and rest, so do not escalate.

What to expect. Users describe a quick, uplifted, social calm: a lift within minutes, the edge taken off, then a melty, relaxed settle from the blue lotus. It suits an evening with friends, a walk, or a wind-down after work. It is not a subtle format and it is not for beginners; if you are new to kanna, start with an oral or nasal product. For the calm without smoke, our MELT high-mesembrenone spray offers the body-focused side of kanna in a smoke-free mist.

Side effects. In smoked form the dose is set by how many draws you take and how fast you take them. Too many too quickly can leave you lightheaded, with mild nausea, a headache, jitteriness or a dip in appetite; blue lotus at higher amounts can add drowsiness or a dry mouth. Smoke of any kind can irritate the throat, so take slow, light draws and put the preroll down as soon as you notice any of this. It passes as the kanna clears, and fewer draws next time is the fix. If discomfort continues, stop use.
