Blue Lotus Chews 2ct Packs are solid, potent blue lotus gummies made with just blue lotus extract, sold in small, convenient packs that are easy to travel with and easy to share. Each chew is a firm, tangerine-flavored gummy built on a concentrated Nymphaea caerulea extract, so you get the character of the flower in a measured, tasty form with no steeping, no wine and no smoke. They are THC-free; the only botanical doing any work here is blue lotus. Currently offered as a 3 Count Tangerine pack, an easy way to meet blue lotus before moving on to loose flower or a stronger extract.

The herb. Blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) is not a true lotus but a water lily of the Nymphaeaceae family, native to the Nile and to the lakes and slow rivers of East Africa. It was the sacred flower of ancient Egypt, painted on tomb walls, carved into temple columns, worn at feasts and steeped in wine at ceremonies so that the flower's alkaloids passed into the drink. The flower carries two alkaloids of note, nuciferine and aporphine, and the balance between them, along with how gently the extract is drawn, decides whether a product reads as dreamy and soft or simply mild.

Active content. These chews are made with blue lotus extract only. No standardization percentage is stated for the extract, so we do not claim one; what the extract concentrates is the flower's natural alkaloid pair, and together, in a whole-flower extract, they give blue lotus its reputation for calm without heaviness, which is why a chew sits as comfortably in an afternoon as in the evening.

• Nuciferine: the mellow, relaxed, slightly floaty quality, an easy softening of the body
• Aporphine: a lighter, more dreamlike, mood-brightening note

Dosage, first time. The pack gives no milligram serving, so approach it the way you would any new botanical: start small and wait. Begin with no more than one chew, chewed thoroughly, ideally on a light stomach. Because a gummy has to pass through digestion, onset is slower than a tea or a tincture; give it a good 45 minutes to an hour before deciding how it landed, and wait a full two hours before considering a second chew. Blue lotus is subtle at low amounts, so patience matters more than quantity.

Regular use. Once you know your response, most people keep to a single chew per session, on occasions rather than every day. The flower does not build much tolerance with occasional use, but its effects flatten if it becomes a nightly habit, so leave gaps between sessions. Never exceed the amount you have found comfortable, and do not stack chews to chase a stronger effect; blue lotus rewards restraint.

What to expect. Users describe blue lotus as a soft, warm, easygoing calm that quiets the mental chatter without dulling you. It suits a wind-down after work, a slow evening with friends, a meditation session or a quiet night in. Some people take a chew before bed for its dreamy quality and report vivid, memorable dreams. It is not a stimulant, not a party format and not a heavy sedative; if you want a deeper, body-heavy relaxation, kava is the better tool, and our Instant Kava Gold is the simplest way to get there.

Side effects. Blue lotus is one of the milder botanicals we carry, and side effects are uncommon at a single chew. At higher amounts some people notice drowsiness, a dry mouth or a slight heaviness in the limbs. If any of these show up, reduce the amount next time or space your sessions further apart. If you feel unwell, stop use.

Interactions and cautions.

• Do not combine blue lotus with alcohol or with sedative medications, including benzodiazepines and prescription muscle relaxants, because the effects can add together
• Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how a chew affects you
• Not for use if pregnant or nursing
• Consult a healthcare professional before use if you take any medication or have a medical condition
• For adults 21+ only

Ingredients and storage. Made with blue lotus extract (Nymphaea caerulea) in a tangerine-flavored chew. THC-free. Keep the pack sealed in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight, since gummies soften and stick together in a warm car or on a sunny windowsill. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Common questions

• How long does a Blue Lotus Chew take to kick in? Because a gummy passes through digestion, allow 45 minutes to an hour before judging it and a full two hours before considering a second chew.
• Do Blue Lotus Chews contain THC? No, they are THC-free, and blue lotus extract is the only botanical doing any work.
• What flavor are the Blue Lotus Chews and how should I store them? They are tangerine flavored, and the pack should stay sealed in a cool, dry place because the gummies soften and stick together in heat.
