Can You Smoke or Vape Kanna?
Short answer: yes to both. Smoking is one of the oldest recorded ways the plant was used in the Northern Cape. Vaping is the modern version and the one most people pick now.
Smoking works with fermented leaf, rolled on its own or mixed with other herbs. The effect people describe is quicker and shorter than oral use, often 30 to 90 minutes, with a noticeable head change in the first few minutes. Our kanna pre-rolls are fermented leaf and nothing else. The trade-off is taste (earthy, a little sour) and the usual downsides of inhaling smoke.
Vaping skips combustion. A kanna vape disposable carries extract in a liquid base, so 2 or 3 short draws is where most people start. Expect a similar short window and a cleaner taste.
Powdered kanna extract itself does not belong in a dry herb vaporizer. The alkaloids need a carrier. Stick to products built for inhalation and keep the first session small.
