What is in the cone. Kanna leaf and nothing else. A lot of botanical pre-rolls on the market are mostly mullein or damiana with a token amount of the named plant. These are filled with hand-picked, sun-dried Sceletium tortuosum, which is why the aroma is the same as our loose leaf rather than generic smoke.

Sun-dried, not machine-dried. Sun-drying takes longer and needs weather, but it holds the leaf character better than heat drying, which flattens the aroma. It is also how the plant has been handled in South Africa for generations.

The plant. Kanna is a low creeping succulent from the Karoo region of South Africa with deep roots in San and Khoikhoi social and ceremonial practice. Traditionally the crushed plant was fermented and chewed, and the name comes from their word for the eland antelope.

How to get a good burn.

• Toast the tip with the flame just off it, rotating, before the first draw
• Inhale gently. Hard draws scorch leaf this light and turn the aroma harsh
• Let it go out and relight rather than chasing a run down one side
• Keep it in a tube. A roll loose in a bag is dry in two days

Storage. Sealed and out of direct sunlight, ideally in a pop-top tube. A small humidity pack in the tube keeps a roll fresh for weeks.

• Is there tobacco or hemp flower in these? No. The contents are 100% kanna leaf. The paper is raw rolling paper with natural gum acacia.
• How much kanna is in one? 1.3 grams in a 1 1/4 size cone.
• What is the difference from the premium pre-rolls? Grade of leaf. This one uses hand-picked sun-dried leaf; the premium line uses a higher grade fill.
• Are they legal where I live? Kanna is restricted in some regions, so check your local laws before ordering.
• How should I store them? Sealed in a tube, out of sunlight. Loose in a bag they dry out fast.
