Size 00 holds roughly 500 to 700 mg of a typical powder, which is the range most home capsule work lands in. What it is. A two-piece empty capsule made from plant cellulose instead of gelatin. The body is the long half you fill, the cap is the short half that presses over it and locks. Size 00 is about 23 mm long joined and holds roughly 0.9 ml, which works out to 500 to 700 mg for most dried herb and extract powders, less for fluffy leaf, more for dense extracts.

How to use it. Fill by hand a few at a time, or load them into our size 00 capsule filling machine for a hundred at a pass. Weigh one filled capsule on a 0.01 g scale to know your fill weight, then you can work by count. Keep the empties in their sealed bag until you need them, since cellulose capsules can go brittle in very dry air and soft in very humid air.
