Kanna Kava Blue Lotus Vape

Kanna Kava Blue Lotus Aromatherpy is a disposable personal diffuser loaded with a triple extract blend: kava extract high in kavalactones, kanna extract carrying Sceletium tortuosum mesembrine alkaloids, and blue lotus extract, all suspended in vegetable glycerin with propylene glycol for flow and 100% organic essential oil for scent. It is an herbal alternative to a vape pen, used by drawing the vapor into the mouth and letting it out through the nose for the botanical essence and the ritual. This device is not intended for inhaling. It comes in Half Gram and Full Gram sizes. Our kanna is grown through benefit-sharing partnerships with the South African San Council.

The herb. Kanna, Sceletium tortuosum, is a Karoo succulent of the Aizoaceae family, chewed and fermented by the San and Khoikhoi peoples for generations and named for their word for the eland antelope; its alkaloids are mesembrine, mesembrenone, delta-7-mesembrenone and mesembranol. Kava, Piper methysticum, is the pepper-family root shared as a social and ceremonial drink across Vanuatu, Fiji and Tonga for over three thousand years. Blue lotus, Nymphaea caerulea, is the water lily of the Nile, carrying the alkaloids nuciferine and aporphine.

Active content. The listing gives no milligram or percentage figures for the three extracts, so we do not quote any; what it states is that the kava extract is high in kavalactones and the kanna extract carries mesembrine alkaloids. In scent and character, kanna's mesembrine reads as the bright, lifted note, its mesembrenone as a calmer, body-focused undertone; kava's kavain is heady and quick while dihydromethysticin is heavier and more physical; and blue lotus adds a soft, floral, dreamy quality.

Dosage, first time. There is no serving in the usual sense. Take one gentle puff into the mouth, hold it briefly, release it through the nose, and set the device down. Wait a few minutes and take a second puff only if you want more of the aroma. Do not draw it into the lungs; the device is not designed for inhaling.

Regular use. Once you know how you respond to the blend's aroma, keep sessions short, a few puffs at a time, and space them through the day rather than chain-puffing. A Half Gram suits someone trying the blend for the first time; the Full Gram is for people who already know they like it.

What to expect. Users describe the triple blend as a calming, pleasant ritual: the warm, peppery scent of kava, the green, earthy note of kanna and the floral lift of blue lotus, with a relaxed, easygoing feel that comes from slowing down. It suits someone stepping away from a nicotine habit who misses the gesture, a wind-down on the porch, or a moment of pause in a long day. It is not a dosed kanna product and not a substitute for an extract; for kanna alone in this format see our Kanna Aromatherapy Diffuser, and for a refillable option see the Kanna Cart Aromatherapy Half Gram Screw on.

Side effects. Used as directed, mouth to nose, effects are mild. Puffing too often can leave a dry mouth or throat, and each botanical has its own dose-related signs: too much kanna brings queasiness, jitteriness or a headache, kava a numb mouth or drowsiness, and blue lotus a dry mouth. If any of this shows up, put the device down, drink water and let it pass.

Interactions and cautions.

• Consult a professional with any liver condition or liver-metabolized medication because of the kava
