The plant. Kanna is a low creeping succulent from the Karoo region of South Africa, traditionally crushed, fermented and chewed by the San and Khoikhoi peoples. Its character comes from a family of related alkaloids, mesembrine being the brightest and most sociable of them.

How to use them. Begin with 2 to 3 gummies and wait a full hour before deciding anything. Anything swallowed goes through digestion, so it arrives slower than a powder under the tongue and it is easy to misjudge in the first thirty minutes.
