The plant

Kava (Piper methysticum) is a pepper-family shrub from the South Pacific. In Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga and Samoa the root has been ground and mixed with water for centuries and shared in ceremonies and at gatherings. "Noble" kava refers to the varieties traditionally grown for regular drinking, as opposed to "tudei" varieties that tend to hit harder and linger. Leilo builds on that old plant and puts it in a modern, convenient can.

How to use it
