Kanna extract Capsules High Mesembrenone (Melt)

Kanna extract Capsules High Mesembrenone (Melt) Our Melt capsules are the evening capsule in our kanna range, a Kanna + Ashwagandha Night Blend. Each vegan capsule pairs 50 mg of V3 high-mesembrenone Sceletium tortuosum extract (5% active alkaloids) with 800 mg of ashwagandha root powder. Melt is our most relaxing kanna profile, and the capsule is the simplest way to take it at the end of the day. Every batch is filled in-house in small runs by Healing Herbals, built on our V3 extract. Our kanna is grown through benefit-sharing partnerships with the South African San Council, the traditional custodians of Sceletium knowledge. Offered in packs of 2, 5, 15 and 30 capsules.

The herb. Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) is a low-growing succulent of the Aizoaceae family from the Karoo region of South Africa. The San and Khoikhoi peoples chewed and fermented it for generations, and the name kanna comes from their word for the eland antelope. The plant carries a small family of alkaloids, mesembrine, mesembrenone, delta-7-mesembrenone and mesembranol, and the balance between them gives each extract its character. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a nightshade family shrub native to India and parts of the Middle East and Africa. Its root has been a cornerstone of Ayurveda for over three thousand years, traditionally taken as a rasayana, a nourishing tonic often stirred into warm milk in the evening. The root carries withanolides and its own alkaloids.

Active content. Each capsule holds 50 mg of V3 kanna extract standardized to 5% active alkaloids, together with 800 mg of ashwagandha root powder. V3 is our high-mesembrenone extract, meaning the profile leans toward mesembrenone and delta-7-mesembrenone, the calmer, more body-focused alkaloids, rather than mesembrine, the brighter and more uplifting one. That is why Melt reads as melty, warm and grounding rather than lifted and social. The ashwagandha is not standardized; it is whole root powder with its natural withanolide content, adding an earthy, settling weight.

Dosage, first time. Take 1 capsule in the evening with water. Capsules are the slowest kanna format because the extract passes through digestion, so onset comes on gradually over the first hour. Give a single capsule the full evening before judging it, and do not take a second. One capsule is the intended serving, and 50 mg of V3 is a moderate amount of kanna, so there is no reason to double up on a first night.

Regular use. The serving stays at 1 capsule in the evening. Take it the same way each night; consistency is what makes an evening ritual work. How kanna lands depends on tolerance, food and rest, so if a capsule feels lighter than usual, keep the dose steady. Never exceed 1 capsule per serving, and take a few nights off each week if you use it often.

What to expect. A mellow, melty wind-down. Users describe a warm loosening through the shoulders, a quieter mind and an easy slide into the evening, without the bright edge of a mesembrine-forward extract. It suits the hour after work or the stretch before bed when you want to let the day go. It is not a daytime or social format; for that side of kanna, see our Rave Kanna + Maca Day Blend capsules, MT5 high-mesembrine kanna with maca for a lifted, clear-headed daytime calm.

Side effects. With kanna, what you feel usually comes down to how much you took. A capsule comes on slower than a spray, so people sometimes take a second one before the first has had a chance to work; wait it out rather than doubling up. If you do overshoot, you may notice mild nausea, a headache, jitteriness or a dip in appetite, and these pass as the kanna clears. Ashwagandha can cause mild stomach upset in some people, and drowsiness is expected from this blend, so do not take it before anything that needs your full alertness. Use less next time, and if discomfort continues, stop use.
