Kava Extract Gummies Plant-Based

Kava Extract Gummies Plant-Based are our kava fruit chews: a soft, strawberry-flavored gummy carrying 150MG of kava extract in every piece, set with pectin and agar instead of gelatin so they are fully plant-based. The sweetness comes from certified organic cane sugar and organic strawberry fruit juice, with a touch of vitamin C as citric acid for brightness. Gummies solve the two complaints people have about kava, the taste and the prep, by putting a measured amount of extract into something you can eat anywhere.

At a glance

• 150MG of kava extract per gummy, a fixed, easy-to-repeat amount
• Set with pectin and agar instead of gelatin, fully plant-based
• Sweetened with certified organic cane sugar and organic strawberry fruit juice
• No kavalactone percentage printed; work from the 150MG of extract
• First serving 2 to 4 gummies, then wait an hour
• Made in small batches, sold in packs of 10 Gummies or 20 Gummies

The herb. Kava is the root of Piper methysticum, a shrub in the pepper family from the islands of the South Pacific, where it has held deep ceremonial and social significance for generations. Traditionally the root is pounded, worked in water and shared from a bowl at day's end, and noble cultivars are the ones islanders have selected for pleasant everyday drinking. The root's character comes from kavalactones, and the ratio between them varies by cultivar: heady types lean toward kavain and feel bright, heavy types lean toward the dihydro compounds and feel weighted.

Active content. Each gummy holds 150MG of kava extract. The extract carries kava's unique compounds: the kavalactones, plus flavokavains, chalcones and other minor flavonoids and alkaloids that ride along with them. Among the kavalactones:

• Kavain: the quick, uplifting, heady one
• Dihydrokavain and dihydromethysticin: the heavier, body-focused pair
• Methysticin, yangonin and desmethoxyyangonin: fill in the middle

We do not print a kavalactone percentage for the extract, so the 150MG of extract per gummy is the figure to work from, and a gummy releases more slowly than a liquid because it has to be digested.

Dosage, first time. Begin with 2 to 4 gummies and wait an hour. Chew them well, and take them away from meals, because kava taken on a full stomach absorbs poorly and can sit uneasily. Onset with a gummy is gradual, usually a mild tingle in the mouth followed by a slow, warm easing over the hour. If you notice no effects after that hour, you can increase the amount at the next session rather than in the same one.

Regular use. Once you know how 2 to 4 gummies land, keep to the amount that works and stay there. Kava has a reverse tolerance, so the first few sessions may be underwhelming and the response tends to open up on its own; that is the reason to be patient rather than to keep adding pieces. Because a gummy is a fixed amount, it is easy to be consistent.

What to expect. Users describe a gentle, even calm that arrives without fuss: relaxed shoulders, an easy mood and a clear head, over a longer, smoother curve than a drink. Gummies suit travel, work breaks, a hike or an evening where you want a wind-down without mixing anything. They are not a fast or heavy format; for speed, our Kava Tincture High-Potency 10ml is quicker, and for a swallow-and-go alternative without sugar, see our Kava Extract Powder Capsules.

Side effects. A slightly numb mouth after chewing is normal. Too many gummies, or gummies on a full stomach, can bring nausea or drowsiness; cut the number next time and it clears as the kava passes. Long-term heavy daily use of kava can cause dry, flaky skin that resolves when you stop. Reduce or stop if anything feels wrong.

Interactions and cautions.

• Do not combine kava gummies with alcohol or with sedative or benzodiazepine medications
• If you have a liver condition or take a medication processed by the liver, consult a healthcare professional first
• Take them away from meals, and do not drive until you know your response
• Not for use if pregnant or nursing
• Adults 21+ only, and keep the pouch well away from children, since gummies look like candy

Ingredients and storage. Kava Extract (Piper methysticum, 150MG per Gummy), Pectin, Cane Sugar*, Agar, Strawberry Fruit Juice*, Vitamin C (Citric Acid). *Certified organic. Store sealed in a cool, dry place out of direct sun; gummies soften in heat and stick together in humidity.

Common questions

• How many Kava Extract Gummies should a first-timer take? Start with 2 to 4 gummies, wait an hour, and only increase at a later session if you noticed nothing.
• Are Healing Herbals kava gummies vegan? Yes, they are set with pectin and agar rather than gelatin, so they are fully plant-based.
• Do the kava gummies taste like kava? Mostly they taste of organic strawberry, with a mild earthy note and the familiar tingle on the tongue.
• How is a kava gummy different from a kava drink? A kava gummy is a fixed 150mg of kava extract that you chew and digest, so it comes on slower and steadier than a shell of kava drink and needs no mixing or straining. If you want something closer to a strong drink, our kavalactone extract paste stirs into warm water or milk.
