The herb. Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is a hardwood tooth fungus used in East Asian herbal practice for centuries. It is joined by ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), bacopa (Bacopa monnieri), Cognizin, a branded citicoline, and L-theanine.

Active content. The only quantified active is caffeine at 80mg per 1oz dose; the other botanicals carry no stated percentages. The caffeine supplies the energy and the L-theanine keeps it smooth.

Dosage and use. Take one 1oz serving, half the bottle, and wait; onset is typically within about half an hour. Many split the two servings between morning and early afternoon. If you are caffeine-sensitive, one serving is your amount. Do not take it late in the day or exceed two servings.

What to expect. Smooth, sustained energy with a clear, focused feel. It is not a wind-down and not caffeine-free. For a mushroom lift without caffeine see our Lion's Mane Extract Powder, or for a kanna-based shot, our Bliss Myco COCOBERRY Mood.

Side effects. The caffeine can bring jitteriness, restlessness or reduced appetite if both servings are taken too close together, and some notice mild digestive upset. Reduce to one serving, take it with food, and stop if it persists. Not for anyone with a mushroom allergy.
