Reusable Kava Strainer Bags (Fine Nylon)

Reusable Kava Strainer Bags are the fine nylon bags we knead kava in at the bar. Traditional kava prep is a strainer bag, warm water and ten minutes of squeezing, and this is the bag for it. Fine enough to hold back the root fiber, tough enough to wring hard and wash a hundred times.

How we prep kava. Put the root powder in the bag, drop it in a bowl of warm (not hot) water, about a cup of water per tablespoon of root, and knead and squeeze the bag for 8 to 10 minutes. Wring it out, pour, and you can run a second wash on the same root for a lighter batch. Works with any of our kava roots and powders.

Common questions

• Is this different from the disposable tea bags? Yes. Those are single use and meant to steep. This is a heavy reusable bag you knead and wring.
• Can I use it for instant kava? No need, instant kava mixes straight into water.
