Black Nitrile Gloves are the gloves we wear at the fill bench and the kava bowl. Powder free, latex free, 4 mil thick, and black so resin and root stains do not show. If you handle extract powders, knead kava, or roll herb for other people, keep a box of these on the shelf. These are size X-Large only.

What it is. A disposable exam-style nitrile glove. Nitrile is a synthetic rubber, so there is no latex to react to, and at 4 mil it is thick enough to stand up to isopropyl alcohol, citric acid solution and sticky extracts without tearing at the fingertips.

How to use it. Pull on a fresh pair before you open a jar of extract, weigh a dose, fill capsules or knead kava. Bare hands leave skin oils in the jar and pick up powder off the scoop. Toss the pair when you switch products so nothing carries over. They also cover cleanup with alcohol or citric acid without drying out your hands.

Goes with. Wear them for capsule filling, for kneading a bag of kava in a strainer bag, and for bench cleanup with 99% isopropyl alcohol. The full bench setup is in Accessories and DIY Supplies.

Common questions

• Do you carry other sizes? Not right now. X-Large is the only size we stock. A medium or large hand can still wear them, but the fingers will be loose.
• Do they hold up to isopropyl alcohol? Yes. Nitrile resists alcohol and most household cleaners far better than latex or vinyl.
