Silica Gel Desiccant Packs, Food Grade (1 gram)

Silica Gel Desiccant Packs are the little moisture packets we drop into extract jars before they ship. Extract powders pull water out of the air, and a wet extract clumps, weighs wrong on the scoop and, in the case of the lotus resins, turns from shards into batter. One 1 gram packet in a 1 or 2 oz jar keeps the powder dry and scoopable for months.

Where to use them. Every jar of kanna extract, lotus resin or kava extract powder. Bags of loose leaf you want to keep from going soft. Capsule bottles. Anything you open and close a lot in a humid room.

Common questions

• Is it safe if the packet touches the herb? Yes, food grade silica is inert. Do not eat the packet, but contact with the powder is fine.
• How do I know when it is used up? Standard white beads do not change color. Swap them every few months or recharge them in the oven.
